A STATEMENT FROM ROCK SPRINGS CHURCH REGARDING THE INVESTIGATION BY THE MONTEZUMA COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT

The week of July 31, 2021, Pastor David Ramsey, the staff, and the Trustees of Rock Springs Church were advised that a sexual encounter occurred between a former church employee and former church goer five years earlier in 2016, that the encounter was consensual and that it occurred when both individuals were adults. To that end, Rock Springs Church follows applicable laws regarding illegal actions, including mandatory reporting of any illegal sexual behavior, abuse, or inappropriate conduct involving children or others, on the part of their staff, church leadership, and volunteers.
